Volcano is a biome in Feather Family.
Overview[]
The volcano is one of the game’s older biomes and one of the most unique. It is most notably the spawn for all versions of the Phoenix, though is almost never the spawn for any other bird. It’s a medium sized biome which connects to the Forest and Sanctuary.
Appearance[]
The volcano is primarily made of black and gray rock. It has many stone pillars and burnt trees. The map has some hot springs in it, which have geysers. The volcano itself is very tall and easily noticeable. The volcano also has small tunnel systems around the map, which are used to find some of the hidden locations in the volcano. There is a path on the volcano which allows you to walk to the top and go inside the volcano from the top. Volcano has its own kind of disaster where the volcano erupts.

Volcano[]
The volcano is the centerpiece and namesake of this biome, with everything built in or around the volcano. There are several tunnels through the base of the volcano and an ascending path to the top of the volcano. When an eruption occurs, it first takes affect in the maw of the volcano and all the launched rocks come from the volcano.
Geysers[]
Geysers can be pound around pools of water, being small and numerous bits of terrain that spew out water in increments. They make the same noise as rain does.
Hot Spring Pools[]
Near the large collection of pools and the crystal circle is a pocket of hot springs on various levels of terrains with no lava close to them.
Dungeon[]
The dungeon is a small area in the tunnel system of the volcano with three cages with torches in them. You can open and close the doors to these cages. It is also located near one of the hot springs.
Crystal Circle[]
The crystal circle is located near the geyser area of the biome’s outskirts. It’s surrounded by lava and bones.

Magic Tree[]
Like a good amount of biomes, volcano has its own large tree that represents the biome. It can be found in the volcano's tunnel systems. It is surrounded with lava.
Trivia[]
- Volcano is the only biome to have its own environment effect.
- Desert and Skylands are uniquely affected by storms but do not have their own dedicated disasters.
- This is one of the few maps to have lava. The lava is not harmful to birds.
- This is one of the three maps that is a mythical bird spawn, the others being the Skylands and the Fantasy Field.
- For the 2019 Halloween update, the volcano was given a dungeon area.
