Secretary is a playable bird in Feather Family.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is light grey with a darker head and orange face. It has a black beak tail, along with yellow legs. It has a long neck and small general body. It has relatively long legs, as well as a sharp beak and some head feathers.

Adult

The adult has an upright posture similar to a stork. It has a a primarily grey body with darker covers and torso. It has an orange face and dark flight feathers, tail fan with two longer feathers, long thighs and multiple crest-like feathers on its head.

• Run - Increases walking speed. Plays running animation.

• Grow - Allows chick to grow into an adult secretary.

Adult

• Run - Increases waking speed. Triggers running animation.
• Call -makes a noise.
• Sit - goes into a sitting position.
• Eat - moves head up and down while biting the ground and flapping its wings.
• Hurt - Lays on its back with legs above body.
• Display - Spreads wings and bends one leg while looking at the ground. Slowly "kicks" and flaps wings in sync.
• Preen - Cleans wing with beak.
• Eyes - Opens or closes eyes.
• Fly - Takes flight. Can glide and has 3 flying animations.

Trivia

• It was called "secretary bird" the game's description but the in-game name is just secretary.
  • The same happened to the moabird whose name is moa in the game and the greater bird of paradise which is called bird of paradise.
• Secretary's wings were changed in the Falcon remodel update. Its head model was then changed in the Great Auk update.
• The Display is a reference to how a secretarybird hunts snakes. It flaps its wings so the snake focuses on the wings, then pins it down with a foot and stomps on it.
• This was a rather random addition, as it was released between Summer of Fossils and the Halloween 2020 event while not relating to either one.
• When first added, the SoF birds were still classified as new as opposed to Secretary.
  • This was fixed, though the same problem came with Skeleton.
• Secretary was the most recent bird to not have its wings spread out on the menu screen before the wing spreading was fixed in the Eagle remodel update. It's also the most recent bird who moves when /e emotes are used before they were fixed.
