Quail is a playable bird in Feather Family.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is a very small, mostly brown bird. Its body is covered in brown feathers, with darker stripes running along its torso. It has a cream yellow underbelly, a pink beak and feet, as well as brown eyes.

Adult

Male

The male quail is quite small with a round, stubby build. It's very colorful, mainly following a blue, grey and white color scheme. It has a blue patch that covers the front of its body, including the neck and chest, as well as its larger tail feathers. The other half of its torso, including its back, base of tail, as well as the entire wing being grey. It has a white underbelly with a cream pattern. Its face is mainly black, with a brown patch on its forehead and white stripes framing the dark patch of its face. Its head is crowned with a black plume, characteristic of the male peasant.

Female

The female quail is quite small with a round, stubby build. It's comparably less colorful than its male counterpart. It has a cream patch that covers the front of its body, including the neck and chest. The other half of its torso, including its back and base of tail being a darker, dull brown. It has a light cream underbelly with a white pattern. Its flight feathers and tail fan are a brownish-grey, with the wings being covered in small, white spots. Its face is entirely light brown. Its head is crowned with a black, yet much smaller than the male's plume.

Quail is a playable bird in Feather Family. This species skin was released with European Robin on March 17th, 2023.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is a very small, mostly potato-colored bird. Its body is covered in brown stripes on the back. It has a cream yellow underbelly and face, a pink beak and feet, as well as blue eyes.

Adult

The adult is a plump, primarily bluish gray bird with a small head. Its cap, back and coverts are brown while its underbelly is red and its wings are a more rock-like gray. It has orange eyes and a white face with black stripes on it. Its legs are yellow with black talons.
