Appearance

Chick

The chick is almost completely white. The only body parts that are a different color are the beak and legs, which are pink, and the eyes.

Adult

The adult is primarily white. It has black feathers on the edge of its wings. Its beak and feet are an yellowish orange.

Chick

• Hurt - Chick lays on its side.
• Eyes - Opens or closes eyes.
• Grow - Allows chick to grow into an adult pelican.

Adult

• Run - Increases pelican walking speed. Speeds up walk cycle.
• Call - Pelican makes a noise.
• Sit - Pelican goes into sitting position. Unable to move while sitting.
• Eat - Pelican moves head up, then moves it down while biting.
• Hurt - Pelican lays on its side with beak open and wings tucked in.
• Display - Holds back wings and head, then quickly moves them forward and then back.
• Preen - Cleans left wing with beak while standing on one leg.
• Eyes - Opens or closes eyes.
• Fly - Allows pelican to take flight.

Trivia

• Despite having a large pouch in its beak for carrying things, the pelican uses the edge of its beak to carry objects and birds in Feather Family. This is the accurate way that pelicans carry things like objects and food, which a lot of people aren't aware of.
• The default color scheme is based off a white pelican's winter phase, where the tips of its wings turn black.
• Oddly enough, changing the eye color of the pelican would change the color of the bottom of its beak. This does not occur with the current model.
