Owl is a playable bird in Feather Family. It received a remodel on July 2nd, 2021.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is primarily white. There isn't much color variety on the chick, with the only other colors being the beak and leg color, both being gray. The owl chick is low to the ground and has a large head, as well as two small wings.

Adult

The adult is primarily a dark brown. It has a sharp beak and a large head. Its face is a light brown while the 'horns' that come off its eyes are black. It has a light brown underbelly and the wings are a mix of the main body color and a caramel brown. It has a collection of white feathers around the neck, two ear tufts on its head and a short brown and white tail.

General

• Owl used to be free, but was later changed to 400 feathers. Because of this, it's currently the only bird to change category.
• Owl is the only bird to go on sale.
• When remodeled, Owl got its own unique ability. The Owl has no air sound effects during flight, a feature added based on how real owls don't make noise during flight.

Great Horned-Based

• Great Horned Owl is the first bird to ever be remodeled. Because of this, despite it being remodeled, the first updated model is rather outdated compared to other remodels.
• Oddly enough, changing the eye color of owl also changes the color of what Extra would color.
• Great horned owl's first remodel came out with the Vulture.
• Owl got a remodel on July 2nd, 2021. This made it the first bird to be remodeled twice. However, it got another small remodel in the Falcon Remodel update, which means it is also the first bird to be remodeled three times (if the small remodel counts.)
• Both of Owl's life stages use the same Hurt animation, though the Adult raises its tail during the animation due to its model.
• The area around the chick's eyes cannot be colored.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is a scrawny, small bird with a long head. Its face is gray with brown eyes and a small grayish brown beak. It has sparse white feathers on its forehead. The rest of its body is white with a relatively long neck for a hatchling and very covered legs. Its feet are pale pink with three toes in front and one toe in the back each.

Adult

The adult is a medium sized bird mainly covered in a somewhat light brown. Its face is white with very dark brown eyes, a skinny downwards beak and a medium brown ring round its face. Its back and coverts are a somewhat light brown with medium brown curved markings. Its wings and tail are whitish-gray with brown stripes. Its neck is a sand brown while its underbelly and legs are white. Its feet are pale pink with three toes in front and one toe in the back each, with a black talon on each toe.
