Appearance

Chick

The chick is primarily gray. It has brown legs with a light brown neck and chest. The majority of its head is orange and its beak is pink. It has black spots going across the neck and head.

Adult

The adult is a massive bird with primarily black plumage and large light pink legs. It has a very long neck with a small head, the head and neck being a light pink while the beak is a darker shade. The body is large and while mostly black, it has some patches of white on the wings and tail. There is white plumage at the bottom of the neck.

Chick

• Run - Speeds up chick walking speed. Speeds up walking cycle.
• Call - Chick chirps.
• Sit - Chick goes into sitting position. Unable to move while sitting.
• Eat - Chick lowers its head to bite the ground, then quickly lifts head back up.
• Hurt - Falls to the side with neck bent forward.
• Eyes - Opens or closes eyes.
• Grow - Allows chick to grow into an adult ostrich.

Adult

• Run - Increases ostrich walking speed. Triggers running animation.
• Call - Ostrich makes a noise.
• Sit - Ostrich goes into a sitting position. Unable to move while sitting.
• Eat - Ostrich lowers head, then starts slightly moving head up and down while biting.
• Hurt - Ostrich falls forward with neck bent to the side.
• Display - Ostrich spreads wings out while swaying side to side.
• Preen - Ostrich cleans left wing with beak.
• Eyes - Opens or closes eyes.
• Fly - Displays a message stating that the ostrich is flightless.

Trivia

• The ostrich used to cost 200 Feathers, but when it was remodeled, it got a price increase. The emu now has the ostrich's old price.
• The ostrich is the tallest non-SoF or gamepass bird.
• The eyelids on the adult can't be colored.
• The adult's call is a boom, which only male ostriches do during mating.
• There was a bug with the old model where its legs would go under its menu image. This doesn't occur with the new model.
• There was a bug with the old Ostrich which would add a large additional block to one of its legs. This was fixed.
• Ostrich was the only bird which was remodeled in the Ratites Event.
