Trivia
General
- Hummingbird was formerly the only bird in the entire game to have a unique flight mechanic, enabling it to hover and move in any direction at will as opposed to the usual flight mechanic of constantly moving where the camera faces. This feature was added with its remodel and prior to the remodel, hummingbird flew normally. However, as other birds have been given hover flight, this is no longer the case.
- Hummingbird was added alongside a remodel for the Fantasy Field, which was called Flower Field at the time.
- Prior to the remodel of the Macaw, the Hummingbird had a cost of 100 Feathers, though it switched prices with the Macaw, decreasing its cost to 50 Feathers.
- The hummingbird is one of the tiniest birds in-game, along with the Sparrow and Parakeet.
- The adult hummingbird’s walk animation isn’t really walking, but rather flying at ground level.
- The hummingbird is one of the birds that appears in Feather Family's thumbnails.
- The adult's Eat animation is shown in one of Feather Family's thumbnails as drinking nectar from a flower.
- Since it would've been too hard to make the hummingbird flap as quickly as it does in real life, the flying and walking animations of the adult just consist of the wings changing location from its top to middle to bottom, as making it actually move as quickly as it does would've been pretty much impossible.
- The baby hummingbird is so small that it often has trouble going over bumps that would've otherwise been effortless to walk over.
- The hummingbird model is so small, it can glitch into walls and flock nests.
- The hummingbird is often used as a bee in private servers.
