Hawk is a playable bird in Feather Family. It was released on April 1st, 2022, alongside the 2022 April Fools update.

The chick is a small bird mainly covered in white feathers. It has a hooked dark gray beak and large brown eyes. It has a light pink belly. It has a short, stone gray tail. It has yellow legs with three toes in front and one toe in the back of each foot.
Adult[]
The adult is a medium sized bird with mostly brown plumage. Its head and upper back are light brown. It has a hooked gray beak with yellow surrounding the base and large orange eyes. Its back and coverts are dark brown. Its underside is light pale brown with brown markings below the neck. Its flight feathers are a darker brown than the coverts with medium brown stripes. Its tail is mainly dark orange with brown stripes and each feather ending in a white tip. It has yellow legs with three toes in front and one toe in the back of each foot and a black talon on each toe.

- Despite being released with the game's 2022 April Fools update, Hawk isn't any sort of April Fools joke and is a permanent part of the game. April Fools happened to line up with the update schedule.
- Hawk is the first bird to have 2 game icons dedicated to its release.
Red Tailed-Based[]
- The adult Red Tailed Hawk received a very minimal recolor in the Hummingbird remodel update, changing the throat from red to pink.
- When its head and wings were remodeled with the addition of the Sparrowhawk skin, the neck was changed again to be the color of the torso.
- The base of the tail on the adult couldn't be colored at one point.

The adult is a somewhat small sized bird with mostly gray plumage. Its head, back, wings, and tail are all the same gray. It has a dark gray hooked beak with a yellow cere and large yellow eyes. It has a pale brown brow-like mark on each side of the head with brown markings. Its throat and underside are the same brown with brown markings as the brows. It has a faded orange collar. Its flight feathers and tail have black stripes. It has long yellow legs with three toes in front and one toe in the back of each foot and a black talon on each toe.
