Gannet is a playable bird in Feather Family. This bird was added on May 3rd, 2024.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is a somewhat small bird. It has a black, somewhat long beak spanning and a black part of its face from the beak surrounding its brown eyes. The rest of its body except its legs is white. Its legs are black and webbed with four toes on each foot.

Adult

The adult is a somewhat large bird. It has a gray beak with black streaks on top of, under and around the beak. The streaks connect to its light blue eyes on its white face. The back of its head and neck are sand brown while the throat, chest, body, coverts, secondaries, and tail are all white. Its primaries and legs are black. Its feet are webbed with four toes on each foot and a white talon on each toe.

• Display - Lifts head and rapidly bobs it to the sides while beating wings and flicking tail.
• Preen - Cleans left side of torso with beak.
• Eyes - Closes or opens eyes.
• Fly - Gannet takes flight.

Trivia

• Along with Auk, Penguin, Loon, Cormorant, Great Auk, Hesperornis, and Cockatrice, Gannet is an aquatic bird. This means it can swim very quickly and stay idle underwater. Like Loon, its hatchling is able to swim much faster than usual but is not able to idle underwater.
• Gannet is the first bird to receive its own banner for its update. ShinyGriffin has confirmed that this will happen for every update from now on since Roblox is more prominently featuring games’ primary banners.
