Duck is a playable bird in Feather Family. It was added on July 15th, 2018 with the release of Feather Family.
Overview
Hatchling
The hatchling is a small and primarily dark brown bird with a light cream yellow on its face, throat and belly. Its face as a smudgy pattern of light cream yellow on the eye and surrounding it. Its legs are stubby and black while its flat beak is black on the upper bit and orange on the lower. Its eyes are white.
Adult
Drake
The drake is a somewhat small and primarily light gray bird. It has a green head and neck with a bright yellow-orange flat beak. Its chest is a somewhat brownish red. Its primaries are a light brown while its secondaries are blue. Its rear is black and its feet are orange and webbed.

Mallard Based
- Duck was remodeled in the waterfowl remodel update along with Swan and Goose.
- Mallard is the only one of the three original waterfowl to not have its wings remodeled for the addition of Chinese Goose and Mandarin Duck.
- Mallard once had a dark green stripe on the top of its head. This was randomly changed to be the same green as its body.
- Mallard is featured in one of Feather Family's thumbnails and the icon of Feather Family Classic.

Overview
Hatchling
The chick is a small and primarily medium brown bird with a cream yellow underbelly, throat, lower tail face. It has a pale conical beak and dark blue eyes. It has brown stripes on its face, one on each side connecting to the back of the eye and one on each side under the eye connecting the back of the face to the front. Its legs are long and gray.
Adult
Drake
The drake is a somewhat small and wildly colored bird with many different unique body features. It has a red conical beak and dark blue eyes. Its face is a potato yellow with a colorful crest on top. The brow part just above the face is a long white streak, with the front of the cap being blue and the underside of the back being white. It has a purple neck and a white underside. It has bright orange 'gills' on the sides of its face covering some of its neck, being large blotches of feathers. Its back is a dull brown and between it and the neck is a white patch with black stripes. Its rear is green and its tail is fully gray. Its primary feathers are white with black stripes while its secondary feathers are blue. Near the start of the wing limb on each wing is a large orange 'sail'. It has orange unwebbed feet.
Hen
The hen is a somewhat small and primarily dull brown bird. It has a light brown slightly crested head and neck with a pale brown beak, dark blue eyes and a white streak around each eye. Its underside is white and its back and coverts are dark brown. It has gray primary feathers and blue secondary feathers, with a gray tail as well. White speckles are spread from its head to its back and coverts. Its legs are unwebbed and orange.

- Male mandarin duck has very odd coloring option functions due to how many parts of it need to be colored. This is something seen in Crowned Crane as well.
- Whether by coincidence or not, both Mandarin Duck and Chinese Goose are Chinese versions of their original birds and were added in the same update.
