Crane is a playable bird in Feather Family. It was remodeled on January 13th, 2023.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is a below medium sized bird with orangish-brown coloration across its head to its tail. Its throat and underbelly are tan. Its legs are pink and quite long, being almost as tall as the rest of its body. It has a long neck and a pink beak.

Adult

The adult is a large bird with a brownish gray body and upper tail. Its head, neck, wings, lower tail and legs are black. It has a light gray underbelly and a white stripe running down its neck from its face covering the back of its neck. It has a long gray beak and a red patch above its beak. Its neck and legs are very long.

• Crane's original model was based off a sandhill crane, while its current model is a common crane. It's unknown why the species was changed for the remodel.
• The wings of Crane’s original model would briefly clip inside themselves when initiating flight.

Crane is a playable bird in Feather Family. This species skin was added May 12th, 2023 with White Stork.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is a below medium sized bird with a caramel brown head and wings. Its back and tail are darker brown while its throat and underbelly are pale. It has a gray beak and pale pink legs that are quite long for its body.

Adult

The adult is a large bird with a variety of colors, including a large portion of dark gray on its body and lighter gray on its long neck with hanging feathers at the bottom. On its forehead is a large black bump above its gray beak and white face. It has a bit of red near the back of the head between the bump and the face then a small red wattle on its neck on top of a black stripe under its face. On the back of its head are thin yellow spike-like feathers wildly spread. Its wings have white coverts with yellow secondaries, red inner primaries and black outer primaries towards the tips. Its tail is also black. Its legs are pale pink and very long.
