Cormorant is a playable bird in Feather Family. It was added on December 31st, 2021.

Hatchling[]
The hatchling is a small, entirely dark brown bird. It has brown eyes and a hooked gray beak. Its neck is long and skinny towards the middle. Its legs are gray with three toes in front and one toe in the back each, with webbing between the toes.
Adult[]
The adult is a medium sized bird mainly covered in black. It has a yellow face with white cheeks and throat. Its eyes are light blue and it has a long and hooked light gray beak. Its neck is somewhat long and its wings are large. Its legs are black with three toes in front and one toe in the back each, with a black talon on each toe and webbing between the toes.

- Hurt - Falls on side with legs extended out and wings tucked in.
- Eyes - Toggles eyes being shut.
Adult[]
- Run - Increases ground speed, speeds up walk cycle.
- Call - Brings head forward to make a three-part bark-like noise.
- Sit - Sits down.
- Eat - Mows ground with beak before biting upwards.
- Hurt - Falls forward with wings spread, head tilted to the left, and right wing brought forward.
- Display - Spreads wings out and gently waves them back and forth while facing upwards and keeping beak open.
- Preen - Spreads wings out and cleans belly with beak.
- Eyes - Toggles eyes being shut.
- Fly - Cormorant takes flight, can fly for infinite time.

- Like Auk, Penguin, Loon, Gannet, Great Auk, Hesperornis, and Cockatrice, Cormorant is aquatic, meaning it swims exceptionally fast and can stay idle in water without ascending.
- There was once an error in the Hatch bird selection screen where Cormorant was labeled as Kiwi, but this has been fixed.

The adult is a medium sized bird almost entirely covered in black. It has sea green eyes, a long gray beak, and a yellow cheek area. It has a tall tuft of feathers sprouting from its forehead. Its neck is somewhat long and its wings are large. Its legs are black with three toes in front and one toe in the back each, with a black talon on each toe and webbing between the toes.
