Cassowary is a playable bird in Feather Family.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is primarily a light brown. It has many black stripes running around its body. The neck is a lighter shade of brown than the majority of its body. The head is brown as well, but a darker brown. The eyes are yellow and the legs are a light brown.

Adult

The adult is much larger than the chick. It is primarily black. The head and neck are blue with two red wattles. The tips of the wings have a lighter black than the rest. Its head and beak are gray and the legs are brown. Its has a very large body, with small wings and a very long neck. The head is quite small and the legs are very long.

Chick

• Eyes - Opens or closes eyes.

Adult

• Run - Increases walking speed. Triggers running animation.
• Call - Cassowary makes a noise.
• Sit - Goes into a sitting position. Unable to move while sitting.
• Eat - Pecks ground while lifting head up and down.
• Hurt - Falls to ground with head to the side.
• Display - Constantly kicks the air.
• Preen - Cleans left wing.
• Eyes - Opens or closes eyes.
• Fly - Displays a message stating that the cassowary is flightless.

Trivia

• The adult cassowary received a head remodel in the Albatross remodel update. The chick received a head remodel (and the adult an eye model change) in the Great Auk update.
• Cassowaries are known for having some of the lowest pitched calls of all birds. That explains why the adult call is so different from that of other birds in Feather Family.
• This is the most expensive and the last bird introduced in the Ratites Event.
• The display animation looks more like a cassowary attacking rather than it trying to attact a mate.
