Bird of Paradise is a playable bird in Feather Family. It was remodeled and given a species skin on February 17th, 2023.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is mostly brown with a maroon underbelly, along with a tuft of dark red tail and head feathers. It has tan legs and a wood brown beak.

Adult

Male

The male is very diverse in colors, as it has a yellow head and green neck, entirely amber orange wings, tail fan and torso, a brown chest, white and yellow tail fan, pink legs and a gray beak.

Female

The female's head, neck, and chest are a dark brown. Body, wings and tail are light brown. It has a white underbelly running from the base of its beak to its chest. It has pink feet and a gray beak.

General

• Bird of Paradise has the most characters in its name out of all birds, that being a total of 16 characters.
• Bird of Paradise is the first bird to have multiple words in its name, the second being Great Auk and the third being Elephant Bird.
• Bird of Paradise was the first bird to get a species skin.
• Unlike its real life counterpart, Bird of Paradise has no hyphens between the words in its name.
• Before the remade leaderboard was added along with the Moa, this bird's name would only show as "Bird Of..." on the Species section of the leaderboard. Since the remade leaderboard, its full name is shown.

Greater-Based

• Similarly to Secretary and Moa, Bird of Paradise's name was intended to be longer (The planned name being "Greater Bird of Paradise".), but was shortened down. Even then, it has the longest name of any bird in the game.
• There was a glitch which prevented baby Birds of Paradise from growing up into adult Birds of Paradise. The Macaw remodel fixed this issue.

Bird of Paradise is a playable bird in Feather Family. This species skin was added alongside with the Bird of Paradise’s remodel on February 17th, 2023.

Appearance

Chick

The chick is mostly an ash brown with a maroon head and underbelly, along with a tuft of dark brown tail and body feathers. It has pink legs and a stone-gray beak. It is also smaller than the Greater species skin.

Adult

Male

The male is a nearly all black bird with a turquoise chest, lighter black eyes, legs, talons beak, a yellow mouth, and a large display fan.

Female

The female is very diverse in color, specifically shades of brown, the female has a white head and underbelly, a dark brown face stripe that covers the side and top of the head, multicolored wings that consist of shades of browns, and blacks. The female also has a brown body, tail, and coverts, black legs and a gray beak.
